Brand Profiles & Voice Analysis
Set up reusable brand context in Alfa with website analysis, article URL voice analysis, and editorial rules.
Brand Profiles and Voice Analysis
Brand profiles are one of the most important parts of Alfa. They let the system write against a real company context instead of treating every prompt like a blank slate.
What a Brand Profile Can Contain
Brand Basics
Profile name, brand name, website URL, and tagline.
Audience Context
Audience description, job roles, industries, pain points, and sophistication.
Business Context
Products, competitors, CTA goals, and internal links.
Editorial Rules
Voice profile, voice samples, preferred terms, forbidden words, and style notes.
Website Analysis
During brand creation, Alfa can analyze your site and prefill major parts of the profile. This is the fastest way to move from a blank workspace to a useful brand model.
Typical prefill outputs include:
- brand name
- tagline
- target audience
- suggested competitors
- products
- candidate blog URLs
Voice Analysis from Articles
Alfa can analyze up to a few article URLs and infer a reusable voice profile.
That profile can include:
- formality
- emotion
- humor
- confidence
- perspective
- short summary guidance
- representative samples
The goal is not to imitate surface phrasing only. It is to give the pipeline durable guidance about how the brand tends to explain, persuade, and structure ideas.
Why This Matters
Better brand context improves:
- topic discovery quality
- competitor framing
- article tone
- internal linking relevance
- SEO metadata polish
- publish-readiness
CLI Support
The CLI also supports brand setup. The bundled brand.example.json in @alfaai/cli mirrors the same data model used in the app, which makes it easier to automate repeatable setups across environments or clients.
